I am proud to endorse Speaker Pro Tempore Jim Kofalt for Speaker of the New Hampshire House of Representatives.
As a fellow representative from the Monadnock Region, I have had the opportunity to campaign alongside Jim and work with him throughout our time in the Legislature. What has always impressed me most is his willingness to listen. In a building where everyone’s priorities compete for attention, Jim takes the time to hear people out, understand their concerns, and offer thoughtful guidance.
I care deeply about issues involving animal welfare and dogs. He listens to my ideas, helps me think through challenges, and offers advice on how to move legislation forward. He understands that every member brings important perspectives to the table and that good leadership means making time for all of them.
Perhaps most importantly, Jim does not lead from ego. He is not driven by a personal agenda. He is driven by what is best for the institution, the House, and the people of New Hampshire. He respects his colleagues, values differing viewpoints, and understands that lasting success comes from working together.
The New Hampshire House needs a Speaker who listens, leads with integrity, and puts the institution ahead of himself. Jim Kofalt has consistently demonstrated those qualities, and I am honored to support his candidacy for Speaker.

As someone who is known for speaking her mind, I appreciate leaders who are willing to listen. I don’t give my support lightly, and I certainly don’t base it on friendship, popularity, or politics. I support people who have demonstrated sound judgment, strong character, and a willingness to do the hard work required to lead effectively. That is why I am endorsing Speaker Pro Tem Jim Kofalt for Speaker of the House.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work closely with Jim on a variety of issues. We have not always agreed on every policy or every approach, but one thing has always remained constant: Jim listens. He takes the time to understand differing viewpoints, asks thoughtful questions, and genuinely considers the perspectives of his colleagues before making decisions.
Jim is intelligent, solution-oriented, and decisive. He has a remarkable ability to take complex issues, understand them thoroughly, and explain them to others in a way that is clear, concise, and respectful of differing perspectives.
He understands that leadership is not about imposing your will on others, it is about bringing people together, finding common ground when possible, and moving the institution forward while respecting the people who serve within it. Even when difficult decisions must be made, Jim approaches them with professionalism, respect, and a commitment to doing what he believes is right.
I've also been impressed by Jim’s willingness to learn and engage on complex children and family law issues. He has taken the initiative to understand the challenges facing families involved with Family Court and the DCYF, and he's become a thoughtful advocate for legislation affecting children & families. His willingness to study difficult issues, listen to those with firsthand experience, and speak publicly on behalf of vulnerable children demonstrates the kind of leadership our House needs.
What I value most is Jim understands that the New Hampshire House is bigger than any one person. We are temporary stewards of an institution that has served our state for generations. The Speaker sets the tone for the entire House, and I believe Jim’s commitment to civility, decorum, mutual respect, and thoughtful leadership will help preserve and strengthen this institution for years to come.
The challenges facing the House in the coming years will require steady leadership, sound judgment, and a deep respect for both the institution and its members. I am confident Jim Kofalt possesses those qualities, and I am honored to support his candidacy for Speaker.

Representing Coös County sometimes means my priorities are different from those of members in other parts of the state. My first responsibility is to the people who elected me, and there have been times when that has meant taking a different position than some of my colleagues.
When I explained to leadership why I could not support a particular vote because of my commitment to the people of the North Country, Jim took the time to listen and understand my perspective.
Those moments reveal a lot about a person’s character.
Jim has the temperament to lead. He is principled and decisive, but he also knows that good leaders don’t confuse strength with intimidation. He builds trust by treating people with respect, communicating honestly, and making thoughtful decisions—even when those decisions aren’t easy.
I believe Jim Kofalt will be a Speaker who leads with conviction, respects every member’s responsibility to their constituents, and always puts the institution of the House first. I am proud to support him for Speaker.

I am pleased to endorse Speaker Pro Tem Jim Kofalt for Speaker of the New Hampshire House.
My support for Jim is based on years of observing him as a legislator, a leader, and a student of the institution. From the time he was first elected to the House, Jim demonstrated a genuine desire to learn, improve, and prepare himself for greater responsibility.
As a freshman legislator, he became involved with our [House] Lions group, which focuses on helping members better understand the legislative process, parliamentary procedure, and the traditions of the New Hampshire House.
Jim remained engaged throughout his legislative service and has consistently participated throughout his three terms in the House.
What has always impressed me most about Jim is his intellect and temperament. He has an exceptional ability to absorb complex information, analyze it carefully, and then explain it to others in a way that is clear, logical, and easy to understand.
Those are essential qualities in a Speaker, who must not only understand difficult issues but also help members navigate them.
Recently, our Lions group invited each Republican candidate for Speaker to share their vision for the House and answer questions from members.

Jim’s presentation reinforced what I have observed
for years. He came prepared, offered thoughtful
and practical ideas, answered every question directly, demonstrating a clear understanding of both the opportunities and challenges facing the House.
His vision was not simply about managing the next legislative session; it was about strengthening the institution and helping members succeed.
The New Hampshire House deserves a Speaker who is intelligent, fair, decisive, and committed to preserving the traditions that have made our citizen legislature successful. Jim Kofalt possesses those qualities.

I don’t endorse people just because they’re liberty oriented. I endorse people who have the courage to stand on principle, even when it’s unpopular. That’s why I’m proud to support Jim Kofalt for Speaker.
I first met Jim through the 603 Alliance when I was learning what it meant to run for office. He wasn’t just teaching campaign skills; he was investing in future legislators. He took the time to answer questions, explain difficult concepts, and make sure candidates understood both the process and the responsibility of serving.

That’s who Jim is. He genuinely wants others to succeed. More importantly, it was clear that Jim’s conservative principles are grounded in a deep respect for liberty, personal responsibility, individual rights, and limited government.
Jim and I have worked together on legislation protecting women’s spaces. At a time when many people, including House leadership, avoided the issue for fear of criticism or being unfairly labeled, Jim was willing to lead the conversation. He wasn’t motivated by politics or headlines, he was motivated by doing what he believed was right.

I have always believed that leadership means standing on principle, even when you’re standing alone, and Jim has demonstrated that same conviction.
One of Jim’s greatest strengths is his ability to explain difficult issues in a way that is thoughtful, clear, and easy to understand. He has a gift for communicating conservative principles without talking down to people or creating unnecessary division. That’s an important quality in both a legislator and a Speaker.

When people talk about leadership, they often focus on titles, speeches, or accomplishments. For me, leadership is much simpler than that. Leadership is about being there when people need you.
That is one of the reasons I am proud to support Jim Kofalt for Speaker of the New Hampshire House.
Jim is one of the busiest people in the House, yet somehow he is never too busy to return a call, answer a question, or help a fellow representative work through a problem. Whether you are a freshman legislator or a longtime member, Jim makes you feel like your concerns matter.
As a representative from the North Country, I have also appreciated the effort Jim makes to understand the unique challenges facing different parts of our state. He doesn’t just focus on Concord. He gets out into the districts, meets with members where they live, and takes the time to learn about their communities, priorities, and concerns. That matters because a Speaker should represent the entire House, not just the people closest to him.
What stands out most to me is that Jim is a thoughtful leader. He listens before he speaks. He looks for solutions instead of conflict. He understands that leadership often means bringing people together, finding common ground, and building consensus without compromising principles.
I have great respect for many of the people who serve in the House, including others seeking leadership positions. Jim is the person best prepared to lead our chamber, support its members, and guide us through the challenges ahead, I believe Jim Kofalt stands out as the clear front runner.
Jim leads with humility, respect, and a genuine desire to help others succeed. Those are qualities that can't be taught and are exactly the qualities I want in our next Speaker.
I am proud to support Jim Kofalt for Speaker.

Rep. Charles MelvinNew Hampshire State Representative (Rockingham)
I am proud to endorse Jim Kofalt for Speaker.
I’m as conservative as they come. As conservatives, we often talk about the importance of principle. But character matters too. One of the things I respect most about Jim is that he understands the difference between leading people and controlling them.
Over the years, there have been times when I have disagreed with others in leadership or voted differently than some may have preferred. Those moments can tell you a lot about a person’s character. Jim never treated me differently because of a disagreement. He never tried to bully me, pressure me, or make me feel unwelcome because I had reached a different conclusion. He treated me with respect, even when we didn’t see eye to eye.
That may not sound like much, but in politics it matters. Representatives are elected to think for themselves and vote their conscience. The best leaders understand that. Jim understands that.
Jim is a true conservative, but he also recognizes that the Speaker’s responsibility is to serve the entire House. He is open, honest, approachable, and willing to listen. He respects differences of opinion and understands that disagreement does not have to become division.
What gives me the greatest confidence in Jim is that I know he is running for Speaker for the right reasons. This is not about ambition or title. Jim is stepping forward because he believes the House and the Republican caucus need strong, principled leadership at this moment, and I’m thankful he is willing to accept that responsibility.
The New Hampshire House needs a Speaker who will treat members fairly, respect their independence, and lead with integrity. I believe Jim Kofalt is that person, and I am proud to support him for Speaker.

I’ve had the privilege of serving with many outstanding people in the New Hampshire House over the years, and Jim Kofalt stands out as someone with the conservative principles, sound judgment, and steady leadership needed to bring our caucus together while remaining true to the values Republicans were elected to defend.
I first met Jim through the 603 Alliance’s new candidate training. He gave me invaluable advice on running a successful campaign, but what meant even more to me is the time he devoted to preparing new candidates for what comes after Election Day. Jim understands that electing good conservatives is only the beginning. Helping them become effective legislators is what makes our caucus stronger.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to serve alongside Jim and watch him lead with integrity, thoughtfulness, and genuine respect for every member. He’s a man whose word means something. He listens before he speaks, follows through on his commitments, and treats people fairly, even when they disagree. Those are the qualities that earn trust, and they’re exactly what we need in a Speaker.Jim is a strong constitutional conservative who understands that leadership isn’t about seeking the spotlight. He invests in people, builds lasting relationships, and earns the confidence and respect of those around him. He leads by example and never loses sight of the fact that the Speaker’s role is to serve the members of the House.
The Speaker sets the tone for the entire House. We need someone who brings people together, leads with humility, avoids unnecessary drama, and always remembers why we’re there, to serve the people of New Hampshire.

Hon. Linda Camarota
Former State Representative and Republican Activist
Long before many of today’s candidates were thinking about running for office, Jim was helping Republicans learn how to campaign, communicate with voters, and become effective legislators. I attended his training myself, and I can honestly say he helped prepare me to run for the House. Jim has been mentoring candidates for years.
What has impressed me even more is Jim’s willingness to tackle difficult issues that many people avoid. Over the past few years, I've watched him take the time to truly understand the complexities surrounding children and family law. I was a member of the Children & Family Law committee, and I know firsthand how complex and compelling the issues can be. Rather than offering quick opinions, he has done the hard work of listening, asking questions, studying the issues, and advocating for thoughtful solutions that put children first.
Leadership is about more than presiding over sessions. It’s about putting capable people in positions where they can make the greatest difference. Jim has already demonstrated that he can lead, mentor, and bring people together. I believe the work ahead, especially on important issues affecting children and families, will benefit from having someone with Jim’s judgment and leadership serving as Speaker.
I have complete confidence in Jim Kofalt’s honesty, character, and ability to lead the New Hampshire House. I am honored to support him for Speaker.

Jerry Sickels
Candidate New Hampshire House(Cheshire)
Jim is a principled conservative who understands why Republicans were elected and what voters expect from us. He has spent years investing his time, energy, and effort into helping elect Republicans, often working behind the scenes to support candidates and strengthen the party. He believes in limited government, individual liberty, personal responsibility, and the values that have long defined our party.
At the same time, he understands that the Speaker’s job is bigger than any one agenda, faction, or personality. The Speaker serves the entire House and must treat every member with fairness, dignity, and respect. What also sets Jim apart is his commitment to excellence. Good enough is rarely good enough for Jim. Whether he’s developing policy, mentoring members, improving processes, or strengthening the institution, he is always looking for ways to make things better. He encourages people to get involved, welcomes new ideas, and constantly looks for opportunities to move the House and its members to the next level.
He is also one of the most effective communicators I have encountered in New Hampshire politics. He has a unique ability to take complicated issues, break them down into understandable terms, and help others see both the challenges and the solutions. That’s a rare skill and an important one for a Speaker.
The NH House needs a Speaker who can be both a strong conservative leader and a fair steward of the institution. Jim Kofalt has proven he can do both, and I am proud to support him for Speaker of the New Hampshire House.

Jim and I have known each other personally since our days serving our communities on the Nashua Regional Planning Commission. He's affable, collegial and thoughtful. I am proud to call Jim my colleague and friend. However, for me, there was a single defining moment that elevated Jim to be worthy of the Speaker's Chair.
As we all know, the 2025 New Hampshire State Budget walked a very turbulent path to the Governor's Desk. During moments of Caucus chaos, controversy and confusion, there was one, true clarion voice working within the Caucus to get the budget to Governor Ayotte. It was Jim. His leadership skills were on full display to the Caucus: calm, yet collected; cajoling, yet conciliatory. Throughout those tumultuous moments, there was no better listener and no better uniter of the Caucus than Jim. Consequently, the House passed that budget because of Jim's ability to work with people to get the job done!
The endorsement anecdotes lauding Jim's character and demeanor are beyond refute, and I wholeheartedly agree with them. Ultimately, Jim's consistent leadership during this past session and the budget votes has earned him the privilege of wielding the Speaker'sgavel from the rostrum. Without any hesitation or reservation, I unequivocally support Jim for Speaker. In 2028 and beyond, there is no one better equipped to unite and lead our Caucus, the House Republicans,
and the institution.

I am proud to endorse my friend Jim Kofalt to be the next Speaker of the New Hampshire House.
As Executive Councilor for District 5, I represent Jim’s hometown of Wilton and the surrounding communities. I’ve known Jim for years, and I’ve seen his dedication to conservative principles first-hand.
He has consistently demonstrated his commitment to limited government, individual liberties, parental rights, and common-sense solutions.
He has led the charge on protecting women’s spaces, and he has been a solid pro-life vote throughout his tenure in the legislature.
Jim Kofalt is the right leader for the New Hampshire House at this moment. He has my full support, and I urge my fellow Republicans and all voters who value liberty and responsible leadership to back him as the next Speaker.

As an advocate for the disability community, I regularly collaborate with legislators to work through policy issues and identify solutions that will positively impact our community.
Among the many representatives I have had the privilege of working with, Representative Kofalt has consistently distinguished himself as an exceptional resource and trusted partner on complex policy matters at both the state and federal level.
Representative Kofalt approaches individuals with opposing viewpoints with professionalism and respect, and has consistently facilitated outcomes that are both equitable and effective. This ability to bridge differences is rare in today's political environment, and it is what makes him uniquely suited to a leadership role.
Over the course of our work together, he has also demonstrated an ability to craft innovative yet pragmatic solutions and a deep understanding of the long-term implications of proposed policy changes with a genuine commitment to the residents of New Hampshire.
It is for these reasons that I offer my full endorsement of Representative Kofalt for Speaker of the House. I am confident he will serve as a strong ambassador for our state, bringing together members of the legislature across party lines to advance the priorities that matter most to the people of New Hampshire.

I’ve experienced the failures of Family Court firsthand. I’ve also met with countless parents, grandparents, foster families, and advocates who simply want a system that puts the best interests of children first. Too often, it feels like I’m fighting this battle alone.
In my experience, these concerns have too often been dismissed by leadership. I’ve heard comments suggesting these are “just parents who are upset because they lost their Family Court case.” I’ve watched legislators and advocates be talked down to instead of being heard. When that happens, meaningful reform never has a chance.
Jim Kofalt has been different from the very beginning.
He doesn’t dismiss people because an issue is difficult or controversial. He listens. He asks thoughtful questions. He takes the time to understand the facts, even with everything else on his plate. And once he understands an issue, he doesn’t let it become just another talking point. He rolls up his sleeves and gets to work.
If we’re serious about improving outcomes for children and bringing greater accountability to DCYF and Family Court, we need a Speaker who is willing to lead—not just talk about it.
In my opinion, if Jim Kofalt is not elected Speaker, these issues will continue to be pushed aside. We’ve heard promises before. Jim is the one I’ve seen put in the time, ask the hard questions, and work toward real solutions.
New Hampshire’s children and families deserve more than good intentions. They deserve leadership that listens, learns, and takes action. That’s why I’m proud to endorse Jim Kofalt for Speaker.

I don’t usually endorse candidates, but I think this election matters, and that’s why I’m supporting Jim Kofalt to be our next Speaker of the House.
Jim and I have worked together for years. We were early leaders in the fight against vaccine mandates, standing up for medical freedom when it wasn’t popular. While some people were skeptical, our concerns have been validated as more facts come to light. Leadership requires the willingness to challenge conventional wisdom. That’s not always easy, but it’s critically important.
Too often we’re told certain topics are off limits because they’re considered too controversial. Jim doesn’t inflame people or make them feel attacked. He presents the facts, explains why they matter, and helps people see another perspective. That’s an invaluable skill when you’re trying to move good legislation forward.
Jim has also been a dedicated member of the Vaccine Injury Caucus and continues that work today through the Medical Freedom Caucus. He has consistently worked to educate legislators and keep these important conversations moving forward.
I’ve never questioned where Jim stands. He’s a constitutional conservative who believes in limited government, individual liberty, medical freedom, and fiscal responsibility. More importantly, he has the integrity to stand by those principles, even when it’s difficult.
Jim Kofalt has the courage, the judgment, and the communication skills our House needs, and I’m proud to support him to be our next Speaker of the House.

Debra Childs
Former Deputy Chief of StaffNH House of Representatives
As the former Deputy Chief of Staff for the House, I’ve had a front-row seat to what it takes to successfully lead our institution. Over the past six years, I worked more closely with the Speaker than anyone else—legislator or staff. I know what the job requires, and I know who is prepared to do it.
Jim Kofalt has spent years preparing for this responsibility through local public service, recruiting and mentoring conservative candidates, training new legislators, and serving in increasing leadership roles both inside and outside the House.
From day one, there was no learning curve. Jim came to every leadership meeting prepared, informed, and ready to work. When difficult issues arose and the room fell quiet, Jim stepped up. He framed the problem, moved the discussion forward, volunteered to take the lead, and made sure the job got done.
One moment stands out to me in particular. Before one of the most important budget votes of the session, our caucus was deeply divided, and there was real concern about whether we could come together. When leadership was needed, Jim stepped in, listened to members, found common ground, and helped bring the caucus together when it mattered most.
While serving on two of the House’s busiest committees (Health, Human Services and Elderly Affairs and Education Finance), Jim also served as Speaker Packard’s trusted partner and backup, covering for the Speaker both in state and out, carrying out both the public responsibilities of the office and the countless day-to-day duties that keep the House functioning effectively.
He understands the office because he’s already been doing the work.
At times when Jim was left out of important leadership decisions or discussions by some, he handled it directly, professionally and diplomatically, always insisting on improving operations, relationships, and communication.
One of the things I admire most about Jim is the way he treats people. He doesn’t engage in gossip or negative conversations about fellow members. Instead, he insists on productive discussions and respectful disagreement. Jim believes in talking with people, not about them, and he shows the same respect for members whether they’re in the room or not. That matters.
Lastly, Jim isn’t running for Speaker because he wants the title. He’s running because he believes in this institution. He understands the divisions within our caucus and wants to restore the culture that has long made the New Hampshire House unique—a place where members can disagree passionately on policy and still respect one another as colleagues.
The Speaker’s office is too important to the future of our House and our caucus to leave to chance.
Jim Kofalt is the most qualified, the best prepared, and has the experience, judgment, temperament, and unifying leadership our House needs.
This is why I’m his campaign manager, and this is why I wholeheartedly endorse him to be the next Speaker of the House.

Rep. Denis Murphy
New Hampshire State Representative(Cheshire)
Jim’s approach to leadership encourages thoughtful discussion, making it easier for people to find common ground without sacrificing their principles.
My interactions with Jim have largely been through municipal and county government work. As a town moderator, my views sometimes differ from my colleagues. When that has happened, I’ve appreciated the way Jim approaches conversations. Once, when Republicans on our committee were divided, Jim came in to speak with our caucus. I was one of the holdouts on the issue, but Jim never tried to strong-arm or bully anyone into agreement. He understands that leadership isn’t about shutting people down; it’s about making sure that every perspective can be heard, while staying true to our conservative principles.
Jim was firm in his position, but he was also willing to listen to mine. He understands that we all come to the table with our own unique perspectives, and he respects that. Jim takes a principled stand, but he is also willing to work with people who may see things differently. That earned my trust and made me more willing to listen to his side and to be open to another perspective.
Jim builds consensus. He knows that sometimes we have to agree to disagree, but he also understands that the best leaders are the ones who can bring people together and move an issue forward
.I also appreciate when Jim is holding the gavel. He is professional and firm, but respectful; he takes the job seriously and is patient with members who are still learning.
For these reasons, I believe Jim Kofalt has the leadership, judgment, and temperament to serve effectively as Speaker, and I am proud to support him.

Rep. Sheri Minor
New Hampshire State Representative (Belknap)
As a conservative legislator, I believe strong leadership means trusting members to think for themselves while staying true to our Republican principles but pulling people together when it really matters. That’s one of the reasons I’m supporting Jim Kofalt for Speaker.
Jim has a calm, steady presence that puts people at ease. He communicates clearly, treats every member with respect, and has the ability to lead the entire House—not just one group within it. I’ve watched him preside from the rostrum, and he handles the gavel with confidence, seriousness, fairness, and professionalism.
Jim provides the kind of steady, principled leadership our House deserves, and he has my full support.

Hon. Phyllis WoodsFormer State Rep and NH Republican National Committeewoman
I believe Jim Kofalt possesses the degree of professionalism, integrity, and character that we need in a Speaker of the House. I have known Jim for several years and I’ve seen him demonstrate political courage and persistence when supporting key areas of conservative Republican principles.
For me, there is no issue more important than protecting innocent life. I’ve watched Jim stand unapologetically for the sanctity of life. Even when it isn’t politically easy, Jim has never been afraid to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. He has the rare ability to articulate the pro-life position with both conviction and respect, bringing people into the conversation instead of driving them away.
Jim understands that meaningful conservative victories often require both unwavering principles and thoughtful, incremental progress. He is a principled conservative, a unifying leader, and someone with the integrity to restore our Republican caucus to the values that brought us here in the first place.
I’m proud to endorse Jim Kofalt for Speaker.
